Skincare Saviours with Revolution!

With over 28 years in the game, it’s no surprise that Makeup Revolution has taken the beauty industry by storm and fondly become the high-street brand on everyone’s lips. Known as the affordable, yet quality-assured makeup brand there’s something for everyone in their collection.

Since then their cruelty-free cosmetic line has grown from the strength to strength and in order to expand further as a brand while maintaining their identity, Makeup Revolution became the revolutionary Revolution.

The brand caters to everyone. From haircare to cosmetics and now to skincare – which I will be sharing a few of their pieces with you today!

REVOLUTION Hydration Boost

If your skin lacks in (literally) anything then the Hydration Boost by REVOLUTION is sure to be your friend. Containing Hyaluronic Acid the consistency itself is both a thick-like gel and creamy and it has a slight (non-overwhelming) fragrance. When applied, circular motions are definitely the way to go as this will help the cream absorb into the skin perfectly. A fantastic addition to any skin regime!

Hydration Boost Revolution

And yes a creamy face pose is essential!

I absolutely love my facial oils, but this is not just any ordinary facial oil. The Gold Elixir is enriched with vitamins and is very thick in consistency, however, smooths effortlessly across the skin providing the ultimate rehydration while giving your complexion the most luxurious glow. I highly recommend this as an all-over treat for your skin. Not to wear under any makeup as the texture can be seen as a little heavy and you may struggle to keep your regular base in place.

Revolution oil

Another fantastic product! This go-to and staple-worthy product delivers EVERYTHING when it comes to your skin. Nourishing from top to bottom and helping to calm while soothing every inch of your skin, including assisting regular skin conditions, perfect for every skin type (Including sensitive skin).

Containing Cannabidiol (extract of flowers and leaves of non-drug hemp) this is proven to calm down the surface layers of your skin, giving you that ultimate flawless-looking appearance.

Highly recommended for under any makeup base.

REVOLUTION Quinoa Night Peel

Perfect for the ‘skinthusiast’ who loves a routine. If your skin is feeling and looking a little unhappy then this product is perfect for you.

Infused with Quinoa (a natural husk extract) this oil does an amazing job of buffing the skin just enough to remove the dead skin cells while boosting the skin’s natural cell reproduction as you sleep. Just apply to the face, rub and relax while the oil carries out its incredible task.

Not only will you wake up feeling replenished but more importantly your skin will look refreshed and radiant, as though you’ve had every essence of the word a ‘beauty sleep

I loved using each and every one of these products and feel as though I would struggle greatly to find anything that compares in quality.

I remember the first makeup item I brought from Makeup Revolution. Back then I thought it was the ‘bees-knees’, and I can honestly say that since then my love for the brand has not altered only amplified as their collection grows.

I’ll have to give that one a try! I’ve became more skin-conscious recently with the harsh weathers we’re having that I’ve been searching for sensitive skin care options. 😊

They all look great and cruelty free is a huge bonus too! I haven’t seen quinoa used in a peel before, might have to try it for myself!

  3. Great to hear your thoughts. I’m currently testing out the Gold Elixir and the Quinoa serums myself. really need to look into the CBD oil xx

I’ve bought a few of the Revolution Skincare products to test for my blog but haven’t got round to writing my post yet! I have the CBD Oil but I usually put it on before bed to absorb into my skin over night, I never thought of using it as a primer so thanks for that suggestion! I also have the 2% Hyaluronic Acid, the 5% Lactic Acid & Hyaluronic Acid and the Superfruit Extract which is what I’ve been using as my primer but I really want to try the cream too!

Well I like to play around with products when I can and it was honestly lifesaving when I discovered it made for an excellent base when it came to my skin. If I’m wearing makeup I use the hydration mask to first moisturise my skin and then follow it on with the CBD oil, using it as a primer. Both are the perfect combo, and I’d highly recommend them!

Ohh wow these sound amazing! I’m definitely tempted to pick up the CBD oil now after hearing your thoughts, sounds perfect for a makeup base too 🙂 Great post xx

  6. Great review with loads of detail! I didn’t even know that Revolution were doing skincare. The hydration boost sounds great for me as I suffer with dry patches. I’ve only ever used one Revolution product before, which was a foundation. Unfortunately, my skin didn’t seem to agree with it but I’d still be up for trying their skincare range. I love the idea of the quinoa overnight oil. It’s a real treat to leave something on your skin overnight without make up getting in the way. It kinda feels as if it’s working more! For me it does anyway 😂

  7. These products sound so brilliant, I need to try them for myself. Thank you for sharing and making me aware of them <3

These look so good, I think I might try out the quinoa peel as my skin tone is so uneven right now and hopefully it’ll help balance it out. My skincare saviour right now is the superdrug vitamin E night cream- I picked it up because it was on offer and I love it, it’s the perfect consistency to help with the effects of cold winter weather!

  9. Lex says:

Oh these products look great, I feel like the CBD oil would be really good for my skin woes!

  10. Sophie Wentworth says:

I tried the Revolution skincare range back in September when it first came out and liked most of the products that I picked up. I haven’t tried any of these though! I love the sound of the hydrating moisturiser and quinoa peel x

Hey Rachy! So I never knew Makeup Revolution had a cosmetic line, I only knew about the makeup products. I have super sensitive skin and sometimes struggle finding an exfoliant. I really wanna check out the quinoa oil because I know oil is great for removing dead skin from sensitive faces and this sounds gentle enough for me❤️ Thanks for sharing 👍🏾
